Kelly Vandever
Founder & Principal

Kelly Vandever has had a lead role in developing over $160 million of senior living assets during the past ten years. He is experienced in development and marketing, product positioning, regulatory analysis and corporate communications.

Kelly has been a leader in conceiving, creating and implementing the development cycle for luxury senior living projects, as well as hands-on field work with all the critical issues and details. His conservative approach to identifying opportunities, building and managing the development team and seeing a project through to stabilization is a tremendous asset for TLC’s partners and investors. His experience as an entrepreneur, developer and owner’s representative provides TLC partners with the expertise it takes to succeed.

BACKGROUND: Prior to forming TLC, Kelly was President of Montereau, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)3 which co-developed, owned and operated Montereau in Warren Woods, a $100 million, 331-unit CCRC in Tulsa, OK. He was also the original developer for the $70 million, 170+ residence Phase 2 expansion of Montereau.

Prior to Montereau, Inc., Kelly was a partner in a technology company and was responsible for directing design/development, marketing and distribution, strategic alliances and licensing. He developed key skills in the areas of product positioning, identifying strategic partnerships and designing products from a client-first approach.

Kelly received a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa while enrolled in the Ph.D. program. He received a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in History from Washington & Lee University, where he also played NCAA tennis and was all-conference in doubles. He has previously served as an officer and Board member for American Red Cross, LIFE Senior Services and Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. Kelly, his wife and children live in Santa Barbara.
